Phoenix to Pasadena

Since I couldn’t take all of you to Pasadena with me, here’s the one-minute version of the drive.

You can see us travel from the Phoenix freeways, through the desert, over the state line/Colorado River, past the Cabazon Dinosaurs, and finally make it to the (much cooler!) Los Angeles County and City of Pasadena.

I put it together from the Snapchat photos and videos we took along the way. I snapped most of them from the passenger seat. When I took over driving for awhile, Phillip learned how to use the app and took on the videographer role.

Oh, in case you’re wondering, I’m travelcraftjrnl on Snapchat. Also, I have a couple other new videos in the pipeline, so feel free to subscribe to my YouTube channel to make sure you don’t miss those.

  1. Excellent idea with that travel video! We just did a car trip from NH to PA a couple weeks ago, and on the way home, I remarked to my hubby that I wished I’d come up with some way to show the extreme temperature change (we went from 95 to 74 to 93 in something like 20 minutes – yes, there were nasty thunderstorms going on at the time, how did you guess?). Cool stuff!

  2. Wow! What a difference in temperature! Oh, how I wish it were in the 70’s here!! And what are the dinosaurs? (I will have to google this). I think I would have had to stop to check them out, which is why I suppose I don’t take long road trips, there’s too much that would distract me to stop! Enjoy your trip! :)

  3. That is so cool! Holy nothingness in the Sonoran Desert. Loved the dinosaurs and the temperature differences… Enjoy Pasadena–I love the arts-and-crafts architecture snuck in around the city. Have a great trip!

  4. Cool, thanks! I remember driving in Jordan and seeing the temperature rise and rise as we got closer to sea level. I guess that’s what you face when you drive home.
